Do you believe that we are independent? No, I don’t think so..we are still slaves. Iam just trying to find the root cause of our economic and socio-economic dependence towards the west.
During good old British Raj Lord Macaulay introduced modern education system in India with the aim of training the Indians to do some low-end paper work in British administration. In this way the British could nullify the expense of bringing trained workers from England, now 57 years after independence we are doing the same in MNC's. Our masters train us to run test scripts, fix bugs, and we the "coding coolies" do all kind of patch up work. In short they lick us into shape so that we lick their boots in return. All kind of sustenance jobs are out-sourced to third-world countries and we are quiet contend with what we are asked to. They pump-up their economy by venturing into new kind of technologies where as the young, vibrant engineers here are forced to wipe the shit out of their code. Why dont we explore the new frontiers of technology, because we are afraid of failures. So we restrain in all that we do and do only what we are told to do. Ramco is possibly the only Indian company, which has developed a global software product and the failure of its ERP product has browbeat other Indian IT giants. It is the fear of such failures that has curbed our economic growth.
"Indian software industry is booming" its the most popular cliche that we hear nowadays. There are currently more than 6 million software professionals in India and every year more than 300,000 fresh and vibrant minds are forced to join this bandwagon which is heading nowhere. We are forced to work as slaves, people toil hard, work late nights just to cool their boss’ ass in the US, we have this deep fear within hence we refuse to speak up.
Almost every Indian student is bitten by the MS bug, but the pity is we have our own IITs in our backyard which offer much better programs and career opportunities. Its a shame on us that we ignore our own IITs. The reason is, anything Indian is considered bad and dirty here, from chocolates to education. Such an inferiority complex has been hard-wired into our memory
Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things?
We want foreign TVs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology. Why this obsession with everything imported ?. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance
Unless we stop looking-up like slaves and be bold in our deeds and words there will be no great improvement in this soil.

Very true....the west world uses the 3d world nations as there personalised slave units, or rather like the slave ants which work day and night saving food for their master ants.
May be its becuase of our attitude which is making us accept this slavery. Its us who have to wakeup form this long sleep.
Wake-up fellows!!!
