Dizzying heighs of sycophancy

I would like to share something about sycophancy and its dizzying heights in our sociey. Last month there was a rally organised by a"wannabe" politician turned actor from the tamil tinselworld.The purpose of the rally ?Well, nothing it was a just a show of strength to his political adversaries or call it a sleazy tactic to attract allies.

But, common citizens were the real victims on that day.

The rally was from Vadapalani, one of the busiest places in Chennai to Velachery, the residence of "Lion??" of south.The fucking rally had a fleet of cars , pack of auto-rickshaws, herds and herds of dumb-ass supportes.All of them were driving at a frenetic pace shouting slogans in favour of their leader with almost no concern about others.Needless to say, they were under heavy influence of alcohol. I was horrified on seeing how a mob could create such a public nuisanceon a large scale, with full protection from the police force. There was a school-going girl in her rickety bicyclewho almost fell in front of a van which was carrying his useless scum of supporters. What would have happened if the girl had fallenprey to all this mayhem, Who would answer the family's emotional pressure? Their Leader..Nay he is not the omni-potent as his followers believe. The question is why do people go to such extremes to show their loyalty and that too at the cost of general public's covenience.The most horrenduous crime was that hundreds of people had thronged the streets to have a glimpse of this revoluionary leader(well thats how his fucking supporters call him).

Let me shed some light on the achievements of the actor, well I do agree that he has quite a good number of hits under his belt and a sizeable fan-following(I belive they are blind), but nowadays he has grown very senile and can no longer compete with new,fresh,vibrant and talented youngsters, moreover all his 6 recent films not only bombed but atom-bombed at the box-office. So what else a popular Indian who has lost on all quarters do? He seeks asylum either in the dirty pool of politics or starts an ashram in the name of good.And thats exactly what he has done, he has capitalised on the belief of millions of his fans. They simply believe that as he had always helped the poor and downtrodden in his films(he always acts in those kind of roles) he would definetly do good to the society.(how can they be so whimsical??)

In short all his supporters, and he himself deserve to be hanged in public for all the mayhem,chaos and cacaphony which unfolded on that day.

What bothers me is that he has been acting in films for the past 25 years and has not learnt how to stage a comback after a string of flops. And now we have a mob of jerks who expect him to guide us ??. They were even raising slogans hailing him as the next President of India..??

May God save our society from such unscrupulous, nescient leaders.
