Being a hardcore Ganguly fan, I just can't resist posting this.

Two days ago the Indian cricket board came down heavily on Sehwag for saying "Sometimes we miss Ganguly". I wonder why our cricket board is very keen in gagging anyone who speaks in favour of the former captain. First it was Harbhajan, and now its Sehwag the vice captain who has been asked to shut-up. I agree that Ganguly never had the genius of Sachin nor the perfect technique of Dravid. But he always played with a never-say-die attitude. He was the one who lead the historic Natwest runchase with his 48 ball 60 and he even fought back(in vain) chasing a mammoth australian score in WC finals. And when the entire Australia was preparing for some chin-music against India he cracked a brilliant 148 and set the tempo for the test series in australia which India drew for the first time. Any article about Sourav would be incomplete without mentioning his daring payback at Lords. Former cricketers, commentators, cricket pundits and almost everybody criticized it heavily, but where were these experts when Flintoff did the same act Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. It inded was a daring payback by our Dada. I simply admire his ability to bounce back when everybody writes him off, I admire him for his agressiveness, he really was the one who can be called the "Thala". Its a pity that there is no one in the current Indian team who has the agression, panache to be called the THALA..
We miss you Dada

Ganguly has been dropped coz he doesnt fit into the scheme of things and is out of favor with the current coach. he is a gr8 player and has embedded that aggressive attitude into the Men in Blue. Well regarding his come back, its a million dollar question, think he is past his prime and chances are remote. But who knows he can spring a surprise or two.
A statistical mistake, 2003-04 series in Aus was not the first drawn series. in 85-86 Kapil Dev led team drew 0-0 in Aus.
